Successfully advocated for a $250k federal earmark for a Wisconsin-based corporation’s workforce development program. The program was also in partnership with the public school system.

Helped lead the Clean Ohio Revitalization Fund Coalition and successfully advocated for a renewal of $350 million for Ohio’s state parks and community programs.

In 2023, the Illinois State Legislature introduced a bill that would severely impact the money transmitter industry. After leading advocacy to educate sponsors about the negative impacts, the bill was tabled within the Finance Committee, ultimately saving clients millions.

After working closely with the client to understand their goals and needs, we meticulously crafted a compelling grant application highlighting their commitment to empowering underserved youth through STEM education. Winning this grant not only acknowledges the client's dedication but also signifies a significant step towards bridging the opportunity gap for marginalized youth in underserved communities.

Through persistent and strategic communication with the grantor, I was able to address concerns and provide clarity on the BIPOC organization's mission, impact, and financial stewardship. By demonstrating the organization's invaluable contributions to the community and its unwavering commitment to equity and inclusion, we successfully convinced the grantor to reconsider their decision. As a result of our efforts, the organization retained the six-figure grant, ensuring continued support for its vital programs.

Through extensive research and passionate advocacy, I effectively conveyed the pressing need for substance abuse programming within a community ranked second highest in the nation for overdose deaths. By highlighting compelling statistics and personal stories illustrating the devastating impact of substance abuse, I successfully persuaded the foundation to allocate a significant grant towards supporting these crucial programs.
